Wayne Theibaud Milkshakes

Who doesn't love Wayne Thiebaud?  We started the lesson by watching a couple short youtube clips about the artist and a montage of his dessert artworks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAHuOkhvAhg
The kids were literally cheering!  That is the kind of excitement you want, when you are starting a lesson.  I chose to do a tribute to Thiebaud's milkshake art.  Here is what my 2nd graders came up with.
I think I need to make a visit to Dairy Queen, I suddenly have a sweet tooth!!

    1. We actually used construction paper crayons, and red oil pastel for the cherry, since there isn't a true red in the construction paper crayons.
